A majority of American companies will implement automated solutions in their processes, marketing and business operations in the next decade.   This unprecedented transformation will eliminate a portion of traditional jobs, reconfigure millions more and create new positions that require advanced technology adaptive skills.

This shift will impact local communities and businesses of all sizes.  Learn how to position your chamber as a resource for this evolving workforce.  Generational shifts will profoundly change how, when and where we work. America’s massive Millennial workforce will eclipse emerging GenerationX leadership in the next seven years; the Baby Boomers will retire and millions of GenerationZ will enter the workforce.

The 2030 Economic Brief will offer data, insights and emerging solutions to navigate these changes and to showcase best practices from urban and rural regions where these shifts are underway.

Attendees will benefit from recent research concerning the nature, rate and pace of technology automation in the United States.

Participants will learn about industries where automation is already underway to assess the impact on jobs, communities and business dynamism.  This session will outline emerging shifts in generational leadership, offering insight into new work models and workplace norms.

Discussion and best practices in workforce attraction and retention addressing displaced workers, soft skill development, targeted entrepreneurship, new economy workforce skills and emerging rural strategies.

4:30-4:45pm – We will have a presentation from Aetna about the new insurance offering.
